The Ministry of Heavy Industries has given approval to the HEC management to give 28 acres of land to the state government. HEC will give this land to the state government at the rate of 1.10 crore per acre. In return, he will get Rs 30.20 crore. This will help in payment of working capital and salary of workers to the HC going through the economic crisis.

The HEC official said that in the year 2017, the HEC had told the state government to give 675 acres of land for the smart city. But, the HEC management had given only 647 acres of land. The state government paid it in two installments. The remaining 28 acres of land was not given at that time. Here, the state government was continuously pressurizing the HEC management to transfer the remaining land as well.

The HEC management got the land lying vacant in the residential complex evaluated. After that the HEC re-fixed the value of the land. In this the price was fixed at Rs 11.50 crore per acre. The management also informed the Ministry of Heavy Industries and the State Government about this. The HEC management wanted to give the land at a new rate, which the state government refused to accept.
