During this, the advocates of CM Hemant Soren demanded time to present their full side. After this, the date for hearing of this matter was fixed by the Election Commission of India on 12 August. The hearing in the Dumka MLA Basant Soren case will also take place on the same day.

Hemant Soren case will be heard at 2:00 pm in the Election Commission of India. The hearing of the case of Basant Soren, brother of CM Hemant Soren and Dumka MLA, will also be held from 3:00 pm on the same day.
BJP told the matter of office of profit
Let us tell you that stating the matter of office of profit, BJP has demanded cancellation of Hemant Soren's membership. After this, the Governor had sought the opinion of the Election Commission in the Ungada mine case of Ranchi. In this light, on May 2, 2022, the Election Commission of India had given notice to Chief Minister Hemant Soren and sought an answer. Earlier, the reply was to be filed by May 10, but four weeks' time was sought by the Chief Minister saying that he was busy in the treatment of his mother. Then the time was given by the Election Commission to reply till May 20. Exactly on May 20, Hemant Soren sent a reply. Since then the hearing is going on in the Election Commission of India.
BJP's allegation on Basant Soren
BJP leaders have demanded the election commission through the governor to disqualify Dumka MLA Basant Soren. In the complaint letter submitted to the Governor, it was said that Basant Soren is the business partner of Dinesh Kumar Singh, owner of Chandra Stone, a West Bengal company. On the other hand Basant Soren also runs a company named M/s Grand Mining in partnership. Working as an MLA. Hence, the case of office of profit under 9(a) is made out. Their membership should be cancelled.
