PM Modi announces compensation in Morbi bridge accident

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and other officials regarding the accident in Morbi. He has asked for immediate deployment of teams for the rescue operation. Prime Minister Modi announced an ex-gratia of two lakh rupees each from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund for the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the accident in Morbi. 50000 rupees will be given to the injured.
Modi to inaugurate development projects in Gujarat
On the occasion of Patel's birth anniversary, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate various projects worth Rs 8,000 crore in the drought-prone region. Most of these projects are related to water supply. Some of these projects are related to water supply pipelines, canal construction and 56 small dams. Prime Minister Modi is on a tour of Gujarat since Sunday in view of the state assembly elections due later this year.
