Nitish Cabinet to Discuss Key Agendas Post-Lok Sabha Elections
The Bihar government resumes regular operations post-Lok Sabha elections, with a Nitish cabinet meeting set to discuss key agendas including job creation and flood protection.
With the completion of Lok Sabha elections, the election code of conduct has ended, and the Bihar government has resumed its regular operations. After three months, the Nitish cabinet is scheduled to meet again on Friday at 4:30 pm. The last meeting was held on March 15, before the model code of conduct for elections came into effect. In that meeting, a total of 108 proposals were approved.
Many Important Agendas Likely to be Approved
The upcoming cabinet meeting is expected to approve several important agendas. A significant focus will be on addressing vacant posts, as the government's priority is on jobs and employment. The issue of employment was a major topic during the elections, with the opposition RJD making numerous allegations against the government. The Nitish administration aims to respond by creating job opportunities for as many people as possible. Decisions regarding diesel subsidies and releasing funds for flood protection programs are also likely to be on the agenda. Additionally, the meeting will address various other important issues and development plans for multiple departments.
Opposition’s Watchful Eye
The cabinet meeting will be chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, with ministers from all departments and their respective officials expected to attend. Due to the election code of conduct, cabinet meetings were not held during the Lok Sabha elections. Now that the elections are over, the state government's departments have resumed their work. The Cabinet Secretariat has informed all ministers and concerned officials about the meeting. Both the government and opposition parties, along with the general public, are closely monitoring this significant cabinet meeting.
