SC showed strict attitude for non-release of 853 prisoners lodged in UP jails, reprimanded Yogi government

The UP government had sought additional time from the court saying that they have not analyzed the cases of 853 prisoners.

SC Ask UP Government: The Supreme Court has strongly reprimanded the Yogi Adityanath government of UP for not releasing 853 prisoners who were unnecessarily lodged in UP jails.

The court told the UP government that if they are not able to handle this matter, then we will take this burden and handle the matter accordingly. In fact, the UP government had sought additional time from the court saying that they have not analyzed the cases of 853 prisoners.

The judge hearing in the Supreme Court got angry with this reply of the UP government. The court said that if you are not able to handle this issue, then we will handle it.
