Once again it has been proved that doctors are another form of God. In fact, in a plane coming from Ranchi to Delhi, a child suffering from congenital heart disease suddenly started having trouble breathing. On this, two people traveling in the plane came as messiahs and treated him.
Were taking to AIIMS
Actually, the child's parents were bringing him to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for the treatment of heart-related disease. Then the child started having trouble breathing in the plane. On Saturday, the crew of the airline company IndiGo made an emergency announcement about twenty minutes after the plane took off. Also sought help from the doctors traveling in the plane to help the child.
The plane landed after an hour
Presently Nitin Kulkarni, Chief Secretary to the Governor of Jharkhand and Dr. Mozammil Firoz of Sadar Hospital, Ranchi came forward to help and treated the child. Kulkarni has also studied medicine. When the plane landed in Delhi an hour later, the medical team took the child under their care and gave him oxygen 'support'.
Co-passengers praised
Another co-passenger congratulated both the doctors on social media platform X for saving the child's life. AS Deval said, 'Today, I saw a person saving the life of a six-month-old baby in Indigo. IAS Dr. Nitin Kulkarni of the Governor's residence in Jharkhand played the role of a doctor and saved the life of the child. Salute to you sir.
Mother cried bitterly
At the same time, Dr. Kulkarni said, 'When the child had trouble breathing, his mother started crying. Then help was sought from me and Dr. Mozammil. There was no infant mask available in the aircraft, so we supplied oxygen through adult masks without wasting any time.
He said, 'We checked his medical records and found out that the child was suffering from heart disease since birth. For that, his parents were taking him to AIIMS.' He further told that theophylline injection was given from the medicine kit and the parents also had the injection Dexona, which helped a lot in the treatment. After giving injection and oxygen, the child's health started improving.
Dr Kulkarni said, 'The first 15-20 minutes were very important and stressful. However, the aircraft crew was also very helpful and provided immediate assistance.
