Reports of death of dengue patients are coming from Kolkata and different districts one after the other. A dengue patient had died in ward number 106 of Kasba East Road. Not even 24 hours have passed. Another youth has died of dengue in the same ward. Nine people have died in Kolkata and Howrah in a week.

According to the health department of Kolkata Municipal Corporation , people are constantly being made aware. Despite this, dengue cases are increasing in Kolkata and surrounding areas. According to municipal sources, the number of dengue cases in Kolkata city is more than 5500 since last January. Not only this, this mosquito-borne disease has also spread to neighboring districts. Doctors are advising to keep an eye on the health of children during this time. So far 4 dengue patients have died in Kolkata. 5 people died in Howrah.

At the same time, cases of dengue are increasing rapidly in Salt Lake, New Town and Rajarhat. Around 300 cases of dengue have been registered in the last seven days from Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation and adjoining areas. According to the health department data, 401 people were infected with dengue in a single day in the state. According to the data of the Health Department, the maximum number of dengue cases have increased in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, Howrah Municipal Corporation, Uttarpara and Barrackpore Municipalities in the last one week.
