Trains are being targeted in protest against Agnipath scheme, increased security at stations

There are reports of targeting of trains from across the country in protest against the Agnipath scheme.

Agnipath Scheme Protest: Ever since the Government of India has announced the Agnipath Army Recruitment Scheme. Since then, the opposition to this recruitment has started across the country. Under the guise of protesting students, some miscreants are damaging government property. Railway stations and trains are set on fire. Till now the railways has suffered a loss of several crores.

Staff holidays canceled

A senior Railway Protection Force officer said that we are on alert after the protest against Agneepath. Leaves of all staff have been cancelled. Where are more and more staff going to do patrolling on the ground? At the same time, strict action is being taken against whoever is trying to damage railway property.

Security tightened at railway stations

Keeping in mind the protest against Agneepath, security has been tightened at all railway stations in and around Delhi. With patrolling on the track, every passenger is being monitored. Delhi Division's Senior DSC Apoorva Agnihotri has asked her staff at all railway stations to be on alert. 

CRPF did flag march 

Inspector Divesh Kumar Dixit of New Delhi RPF Railway Station and Inspector Nitin Mehra of Gurugram Railway Station along with their staff conducted a flag march. At Anand Vihar, Nizamuddin railway station, the staff is constantly being asked to be on alert with briefs. Gurugram railway station is also important because it is on the border of Delhi. At the same time, every train going from this railway station towards Delhi is being monitored.
