His case is not unique: goalkeepers Joan García and Wojciech Szczesny are also awaiting confirmation of their registration in the competition.
"I'm not worried. It's something the club must resolve and I trust they will do so. "I'm focused on training and being ready for the start of the competition," Rashford said after a training session at the National Football Center in Paju, South Korea, where Barça is carrying out part of its preseason.
The forward, on loan from Manchester United for a season, is experiencing his first weeks as a Barça player amidst a mixture of excitement, demand and high expectations.
Adaptation, confidence and ambition for the Champions League
Rashford knows that he is joining a club with history and pressure. He takes it on as a challenge. "I want to enjoy the moment and give everything for the team," he stated, avoiding any speculation about his future beyond the current year. In these first training sessions, he has been able to confirm what he already suspected: the level at Barcelona is high. "There are very good players, the quality is very high, and the intensity too," he acknowledged. The objective, he affirms, is to maintain that intensity throughout the season. Regarding collective goals, he does not hesitate to set his sights on the most coveted title: the Champions League. "Of course, that's everyone's dream. "Last year was a very good season, but we'll try to improve on it by winning the Champions League," the Englishman concluded.
