Mexico makes history with 4 players in the 2025 MLB All-Star Game
Jonathan Aranda will have his first All-Star Game experience and Alejandro Kirk, Isaac Paredes and Andres Munoz for the second time
Mexico will have four representatives in the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in 2025.
Alejandro Kirk, Jonathan Aranda, Isaac Paredes and Andrés Muñoz are the four hitters who will go to the Summer Classic in the Majors.
It will be the second time for Paredes, Muñoz, and Kirk, while Aranda will be making his first All-Star Game.
The most players in a single All-Star Game were two in 2010 and 1983.
Alejandro Kirk is batting .306 with 85 hits, 7 home runs, 42 RBIs, and 24 runs scored in 78 games this season.
Isaac Paredes is batting .255 with 85 hits, 19 home runs, 49 RBIs, and 49 runs scored in 89 games this season.
Jonathan Aranda is batting .326 with 100 hits, 11 home runs, 49 RBIs, and 47 runs scored in 89 games this season.
Andres Munoz is 3-1 with a 1.54 ERA, 45 strikeouts and 21 saves in 36 appearances this season.
This is the first time Mexico has had more than two hitters in a single All-Star Game.
Carlos Estevez replaces Jacob DeGrom
Kansas City Royals closer Carlos Estevez was named Friday to replace Texas' Jacob deGrom on the American League All-Star roster.
DeGrom will be inactive because his scheduled start for the Rangers' game at Houston on Saturday night falls too close to Tuesday's All-Star Game. DeGrom will travel to Atlanta and participate in All-Star activities.
Estevez, a 2023 All-Star with the Los Angeles Angels, joins Bobby Witt Jr. and Kris Bubic as Kansas City representatives.
The 32-year-old right-hander has 25 saves and a 2.03 ERA in 39 appearances after signing with the Royals as a free agent in January.
He is tied with Houston's Josh Hader for the AL saves lead and is two behind San Diego's Robert Suarez for the major league lead.
