Chicharito opens up about his future after Chivas de Guadalajara
Javier Hernández explained what his next step in the world of football will be. Retirement is not in sight, but he is already planning his next step
Javier Hernández is one of the most representative Mexican soccer players who played in European soccer. However, the end of his career is near. With unremarkable performances, Chicharito struggles to stay active, but envisions his next step off the court.
After leaving through the back door of his second process with the Chivas de Guadalajara, Javier Hernández keeps the flame alive to continue playing soccer. At 38 years old, he maintains the hope of remaining active.
"I'm going to continue playing. Since I'm not making my debut, my career is already ending, I'm trying to make the best decision. I'm going to still be on the field," said the former Real Madrid soccer player.
From the fields to the offices
Although Javier Hernández's initial idea is to stay active, Chicharito has already begun to pave the way to enter a more institutional level. The former Real Madrid player plans to be a manager of a Mexican soccer team.
"I would like to be the owner of a team. The category does not matter and I would love for it to be in Mexico. The ideal would be to help the players in my country," he explained.
Javier Hernández's vision is to continue contributing to Mexican soccer, but this time from the desk. Chicharito wants to help the development of Aztec football. Hernández has the skills and experience, since he left Mexico very young and managed to stay in Europe for many years with prominent clubs.
"I would like to give back to soccer some of what it gave me. If not in Mexico, I would look for a project somewhere else where I can bring Mexican players if necessary. I would love to work with many people that I have in mind," he concluded.
