“That things that happen in the locker room are leaked is a betrayal to Real Madrid. And it sads me a lot”, said in a press conference Arbeloa, who hasn't wanted to“accus” and nor “point” to the origin of said leaks.
“I'm not accusing the players or anyone because I can't do it. There are a lot of people around the Real Madrid locker room and I'm not "I'm here to accus nobody. I try to set an example, with my private conversations staying between the players and me," he noted.
A confrontation between Valverde and Tchouméni after which Real Madrid opened two disciplinary files on the footballers that led to sanctions of 500,000 euros to each one, after two confrontations in just 24 hours and after the training on Thursday they reached a peak of unsustainable tension in the Madridista locker room.
After both players confronted over a game setup in training on Wednesday, which caused a discussion, on Thursday the tension went to greater. From the first moment in Valdebebas the climate was tense, until the situation exploded in the locker room.
According to EFE, in full discussion between both, dialectics and physics, Valverde, second captain of Real Madrid, slipped and hit a central table in the main locker room of the Real Madrid Sports City of Valdebebas.
The footballer went to the hospital, as part of the protocol for this type of situations, being shocked and having to receive pu ntos in his head in Valdebebas. After this, he returned to his home, where he must rest for the next 10 or 14 days, according to his evolution.
A tense situation that Arbeloa claimed to have lived in other locker rooms when he was a footballer.
“I have had a teammate who took a golf club and hit another. The most serious thing is that what happens in the locker room of Real Madrid should stay in the locker room. These are situations that don't represent Real Madrid. I'm not justifying what has happened, but happens everywhere”, he noted.
Furthermore, Arbeloa was “very, very, very happy” with his captains, in reference to Valverde serving as second captain of Real Madrid, while defending the personal quality of his footballers.
“It's a locker room at the level of Real Madrid. It's not easy to assume two blank seasons and everything that's happened. I see a healthy and prepared locker room to win again r. It's a younger locker room compared to the one I had for seven years and all these experiences will make you grow and know what this crest is much better,” he commented.
A philosophy, of growing for the coming season, that the technician himself did not want to apply, whose continuity in the position is in doubt.
“It's me to win the match tomorrow -the clásico against Barcelona- and that's what I've put all my energy into,” he said.
On the other hand, he also defended the work of the president of Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez.
“There is no one more prepared than our president to turn this situation around. He is the president with the most titles in the history of the club. I remember how the club was before it arrived and managed to put the club where it deserves”, he assured.
