Real Madrid defeats Juventus and continues with perfect step in Champions League
Real Madrid has 3 wins in 3 games and its next match will be against Liverpool at Anfield
Real Madrid defeated Juventus 1-0 and continues with perfect step after three rounds of the Champions League.
The merengue club has nine points in three rounds fighting for first place along with Paris Saint Germain, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Inter Milan.
Madrid did not have an easy match at the Santiago Bernabeu in which both teams had clear opportunities to score and Jude Bellingham took on the hero's mantle.
Kylian Mbappe saw his consecutive goal scoring streak come to an end, despite trying throughout the 90 minutes.
Juventus, meanwhile, are entering a critical period after two draws and one defeat in three matches. The Italian team will have to come from behind if they want to aspire to qualify through the playoffs or directly.
Jude Bellingham gives Real Madrid all three points
Real Madrid suffered in the first minutes of the match with good saves from Dusan Vlahovic, who was prevented from scoring thanks to good saves from Thibaut Courtois.
Vinicius Jr. and Mbappe were the most creative in attack, but the Italian defense did do not allow them to break the deadlock in the first half.
The second half continued with great opportunities for both teams.
But in the 58th minute it was the English star who broke the tie. Vini Jr. made an individual play with a shot that crashed against the post and Bellingham took advantage of the rebound to put it in and give the Spaniards the victory.
Courtois appeared twice to deny Juventus, who ended up resisting more goals from Madrid.
Real Madrid will have to prepare for the duel against Barcelona this Sunday at home in what will be a fight for first place in LaLiga.
The next Champions League match will be on November 4 when Madrid faces Liverpool at Anfield.
