Rodolfo Pizarro could have a new opportunity to shine in Mexico

Rodolfo Pizarro has not been able to return to his best version in recent years. The former Chivas de Guadalajara player is already 32 years old and continues to fight to stay at a good level. Pizarro would have a new opportunity with the Tuzos del Pachuca.
The information was exposed by the newspaper Récord. The Mexican portal reported that the Bravos de Juárez and the Tuzos del Pachuca would be in talks to establish an agreement. Pizarro's arrival in Pachuca would be imminent.
"The footballer is very advanced to join the Hidalgo team; however, so far he has not signed any contract," the report indicates.
In the Apertura 2025 tournament, Rodolfo Pizarro showed signs of recovery with the Bravos de Juárez. The Mexican midfielder played 20 games in total. “Pizarrín” contributed 3 goals and gave 1 assist in just over 1,450 minutes on the field.
Clausura 2026 was a confirmation tournament. However, Rodolfo Pizarro could not be consistent and lost ground within the club. In this tournament the Mexican only played 14 games, but he was on the field for 665 minutes (less than half of the previous tournament). Pizarro only scored 1 goal and provided 1 assist.
"The conversations indicate that Pizarro is acquired definitively. There was talk at the time about the possibility of an exchange for the 32-year-old midfielder, since the Tuzo team would give up Pedro Pedraza and Juan Sigala, but this could not be confirmed," the report adds.
The return to Pachuca
Rodolfo Pizarro's path in professional football began with the Tuzos del Pachuca. In July 2012, “Pizarrín” joined the Tuzos first team. After the team that lives in the Hidalgo Stadium, Pizarro wore other shirts such as those of Chivas, Monterrey, Inter Miami, AEK de Atenas, Mazatlán and the Bravos de Juárez.
Rodolfo Pizarro was with Pachuca for around 5 seasons. “Pizarrín” played 155 games with the Tuzos shirt (his longest spell in a professional club). Pizarro scored 10 goals and provided 13 assists in just over 11,800 minutes played on the field.
The footballer born in Tampico won the 2016 Clausura tournament of the Liga MX with Pachuca. In that club, in addition to Pizarro, other players such as Hirving “Chucky” Lozano and Érick Gutiérrez stood out. A decade later, “Pizarrín” would seek to remember and return to the most successful moments of his career.
