South Africa was received with the “Son de la Negra” at the Pachuca facilities
The Bafana Bafana are already in Pachuca to get ready for the World Cup debut against Mexico, while the three elements that arrange their visa arrive
As announced by the leaders of the South Africa team, early this Tuesday morning the Bafana Bafana arrived at Felipe Ángeles International Airport to immediately move to Pachuca, Hidalgo, where they will prepare for their debut in the World Cup against Mexico on June 11.
With a delay of nine days due to visa problems, the South Africans arrived in Mexican lands to be welcomed with mariachi music singing the popular melody at the hotel in the Tuza capital, where it will be their operations center for the World Cup games.
The squad led by the Belgian Hugo Broos stopped in Cape Verde and from there they made a journey of almost 22 hours to land without setbacks at the airport located in the State of Mexico and from there travel by land to the city of Pachuca, where this Wednesday they will carry out their first training session with access to fans at the Hidalgo stadium, home of the Tuzos, a Liga MX team.
The Bafana Bafana arrived led by Hugo Bross and striker Lyle Foster, who plays for Burnley in the Premier League, being protected by a strong security device that protected them to the doors of their concentration hotel located next to the Football Hall of Fame.
They were received by mariachis and regional songs that gave a touch of Mexican color to this event to the surprise of the Africans, who will be Mexico's first rival in Group A and will seek to be a respected rival as happened in the 2010 edition.
They will train at the Hidalgo stadium
The “boys” team, as the South Africans are also known, will carry out training at the Hidalgo stadium this Wednesday at 4:00 p.m., according to the international director of the Pachuca Group, Humberto Gándara.
The leader said that an attendance of 8 thousand fans is estimated with controlled entry with one ticket per attendee, especially people from vulnerable parts of the entity who will have the opportunity to closely observe Mexico's future rivals in the World Cup.
He explained that the admission cannot be greater than this number of fans due to the Africans' own indications and the logistics of the event, which is why half of the sports complex will be open to the public.
