Under the ambitious lunar mission, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) may launch Chandrayaan-3 in the first or second week of July. All the necessary tests related to the spacecraft have been successfully completed. The process of attaching the payload to the vehicle is in the final stages at UR Rao Satellite Centre. ISRO has also completed the required hot test for the CE-20 cryogenic engine.

According to a senior ISRO official, it has been decided to launch the vehicle in the beginning of July, but the final date has not been decided yet. This third spacecraft of the Chandrayaan program will be launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota by the country's heaviest launch vehicle GSLV Mk-III. Significantly, in March this year, Chandrayaan-3 had successfully completed the necessary tests to face the conditions arising in the launch.

Chandrayaan-3 will also carry scientific instruments. Through this, thermo-physical properties of dust, broken rocks and other materials present on the lunar surface, seismic potential, plasma environment and fundamental composition of the lunar surface will be studied.

Propulsion, Lander and Rover. The propulsion system will propel the vehicle from Earth's orbit to the Moon's orbit. Will make a safe landing of the lander vehicle. The rover will land on the lunar surface and collect the material and send it to a center on Earth.
