Former White House strategist Steve Bannon calls Elon Musk an illegal foreigner and suggests deporting him
Steve Bannon lashed out at the richest man in the world for the controversial comments made about the nation’s president
After Elon Musk spoke out against President Donald Trump and even suggested impeachment against him, former White House strategist Stephen Kevin Bannon referred to the South African-born businessman as an illegal foreigner and suggested initiating an investigation with the aim of deporting him.
Less than a week after leaving his special government position, the richest man on the planet turned against the nation's leader and, in addition to ranting about his budget proposal, published a message in which he asserted that, without financial support, he would not have been able to defeat Democrat Kamala Harris in the November elections.
“Without me, Trump would have lost the election, the Democrats would control the House of Representatives, and the Republicans would have a 51-49 vote in the Senate. How ungrateful!” he noted.
In this regard, Bannon reminded Musk how he was treated with respect at the White House, something he quickly forgot about.
“The president treated him almost like a son. He invited his family to Christmas dinner. He let him sleep at his house. He let him come and go to meetings. The president used the utmost informality to welcome him,” he explained. in an interview with the website Politico.
The Virginia-born political strategist hopes that, after analyzing the comments of the founder of companies such as Tesla and Space X, the decision will be made to deport him as soon as possible.
"They should start a formal investigation into his immigration status because I firmly believe that he is an illegal alien and should be deported from the country immediately," he emphasized in a dialogue with The New York Times.
It should be noted that Bannon has proven to be unconditional to the head of the nation and at the time his loyalty meant that he was accused by a federal grand jury of two criminal counts of contempt of Congress for failing to comply with a subpoena issued by the Select Committee on the Attack on the Capitol, on January 6, 2021,where they intended to hold Donald Trump accountable.
In the end, the former Virginia banker spent four months in prison.
