PTI chief Imran Khan's new claim about former Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has brought turmoil in the country's politics. Meanwhile, the country's Defense Minister Khwaja Asif has said that Imran Khan's claims can lead to bloodshed in the country and the life of PPP co-chairman can also be in danger.
In fact, Imran Khan had recently claimed that Asif Ali Zardari was plotting to assassinate him and had also paid money to a terrorist organization for this. He alleged that two unsuccessful attempts had been made to assassinate him. However, now plan C has been prepared. On the other hand, PPP President Bilawal Bhutto has said that his party is taking legal opinion against Imran's allegations.
Imran played a new card
The country's Defense Minister attacked Imran Khan and said that he has played a new card, which can lead to bloodshed. He said, maybe Imran's aim is to cause bloodshed in politics. Khwaja Asif said, whether it is the hanging of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto or the martyrdom of Benazir Bhutto. PPP has never supported violence and has always been clean. He said, PPP has made huge sacrifices in the war against terrorism. Benazir Bhutto gave her life in this war and even after such a big incident, PPP did not adopt the path of violence and adopted the path of democracy.
Imran's party will field candidates on all 33 seats in the by-elections
Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan's party will field its candidates in all 33 parliamentary seats in the by-elections to be held in March. Addressing a press conference on Sunday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice-chairman and former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the decision was taken during the party's core committee meeting.
Imran was evicted from power
In April 2022, Imran Khan had to resign from the post of Prime Minister and Shahbaz Sharif became the new Prime Minister of the country. However, Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf did not accept the resignation. Last month, the Speaker accepted the resignations of 35 PTI MPs, after which they were denotified by the ECP. ECP is yet to de-notify 43 PTI MPs. If the ECP denotifies the remaining 43 PTI MPs, Khan's party will be virtually wiped out from the National Assembly. Khan contested eight parliamentary seats after the speaker accepted 11 resignations of PTI MPs in October last year. Khan won six of them.
