Britain is facing scorching heat this year. According to meteorologists, this will be the first 'red alert' about heat in Britain since the start of temperature records in history. The US Meteorological Department says that Britain is rapidly moving towards breaking the 40 degree Celsius temperature record. It is estimated that on Monday or Tuesday, the highest temperature in history will be recorded in the country. 

In view of this situation, the British Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has declared a national emergency in the country and the Meteorological Department has advised people to stay indoors. Common people have been asked not to leave their homes without need. Meteorological Department Chief Executive Penny Andersby said that the temperature is most likely to reach above 40 degrees Celsius tomorrow, ie Tuesday. In some models, the day temperature is expected to reach 43 degree Celsius this year. 

The Health Department has issued an alert saying that healthy people are at the highest risk of falling seriously ill in this scorching heat. This can lead to his death. The warning states that British citizens are not able to tolerate the very high temperatures. Not only this, very few homes, schools or small businesses have air conditioners in the UK.

The worst summer in the known history of Britain's weather occurred in the year 2019, when the mercury reached 38.7 degrees Celsius. The UK generally experiences mild summers. The average maximum temperature in July is 21 °C, while the mean minimum temperature is around 12 °C.

The Transport Department has issued an advisory to rail and subway passengers not to travel unless necessary. Schools and hospitals have been directed to take extra care of children and the elderly as they are more vulnerable to the ill effects of heat.
