Eliyah Parras, 15, and Naomie Parras, 12, were last seen after leaving their home in the city of Evans during the early hours of the morning.
Colorado authorities are maintaining an active search to locate two minor brothers who disappeared after leaving their home during the early hours of the morning and not returning.
Eliyah Parras, 15, and Naomie Parras, 12, were last seen in the area of 37th Street and 23rd Avenue in the City of Evans after leaving their residence on Mission Springs Way.
According to Evans Police, the two are believed to have left the home around 3:00 am. So far the reasons why they left the place have not been reported.
The authorities indicated that, despite having received multiple reports and clues from the community, they have not been able to determine the whereabouts of the teenagers.
“This has been an incredibly difficult time for the family, who are desperate to bring their loved ones home safely,” the police department said in a post released Sunday.
The institution also insisted that the minors are not being sought for having committed any offense.
"We want to emphasize that Eliyah and Naomie are not in trouble. Our main objective is to locate them and bring them home safely as soon as possible," police said.
The disappearance also generated concern in the local educational community. Jessica Adams, a teacher in the area who claimed to have been a teacher for both, asked for citizen support to expand the search.
"They could be anywhere by now. Please be on the lookout and contact the police if you see them," he wrote on social media.
According to the description released by the authorities, Eliyah is approximately 1.83 meters tall, has red hair, blue eyes and a piercing in an eyebrow.
Naomie also has red hair and blue eyes, as well as a piercing in her nose.
Authorities asked that anyone with information about the brothers' whereabouts contact the Weld County Dispatch Center or emergency services.
