Mexican in ICE custody dies in southern California

A 39-year-old Mexican man who was in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) died this Monday, reported the agency, which faces lawsuits for the lack of adequate medical care for detainees.
The The victim was identified as Ismael Ayala-Uribe, who died at Victor Valley Global Medical Center in Victorville, northwest of Los Angeles, ICE said in a statement. Ayala-Uribe was arrested on August 17 by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents during an operation and five days later was transferred to the Adelanto ICE Processing Center.
