A suspicious driver, allegedly under the influence, was arrested after running over and killing a security guard at the “Los Angeles Stadium”, known as SoFi Stadium, when the victim was walking home after working on a 2026 World Cup match.

Aaron Avery, 22, was returning home from his second day of work at Inglewood Stadium when he was allegedly hit by a car around 10:30 p.m. by a Tesla car at the intersection of Van Ness Avenue and 104th Street.

According to relatives of the security guard, the victim lived about two miles away from the Inglewood stadium.
