United Airlines leaves all its planes grounded for half an hour in the US and Canada
Flights scheduled for Tuesday night by United Airlines were suspended for half an hour due to connectivity problems
On the night of Tuesday, September 23, the American airline United Airlines requested the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to issue a ground stop after experiencing a connectivity problem.
All flights of the airline with headquarters in Chicago, Illinois scheduled for that night which were departing from the United States and Canada were grounded for half an hour.
“We were experiencing a brief connectivity issue just before midnight Central Time Tuesday, but have since resumed normal operations,” the company said.
This is the second time in less than two months that United Airlines has asked the FAA to temporarily suspend its flights due to unspecified technical issues. In this latest incident, the airline said it was a “technological issue” affecting the entire network.
However, earlier last month, some United Airlines flights were grounded for several hours at airports including Newark, Denver, Houston, and Chicago.
