Diwali Muhurat Trading 2022: Like every year, even today, the stock market will play for one hour on the day of Diwali. The tradition of Muhurta trading for one hour in the stock market on the day of Diwali is decades old. The practice of Muhurta trading started in 1957 in BSE and 1992 in NSE. Today is Deepawali and like every time there will be trading in the market between 6.15 to 7.15 pm today. In this one hour, investors follow the tradition of the market by making their small investment in a symbolic way. It is believed that Muhurta trading brings prosperity and money showers on investors throughout the year. This trading takes place in all three equity, currency and commodity markets and equity futures and options for one hour on the day of Diwali.

According to the information given by BSE, the pre-open session will start from 6 pm on October 24 and will end at 6.08 pm. After this, trading will start for common investors from 6.15 am, which will last for one hour till 7.15 pm. Investment is considered auspicious on the day of Diwali and on this day most of the big investors or companies buy and sell in the stock market. Except for Muhurta trading, the stock market will not open in the morning on Diwali. This means that whoever has to invest on the day of Diwali, he will have only one hour. On Tuesday, the stock market will open again at its normal time. On 26 October 2022 i.e. on Wednesday, there will be no business in the stock market due to Diwali Baliprada. The market will be open for investors on Thursday and Friday.
