Metro Los Ángeles inaugurates first stage of Line D Extension
The new section will improve transportation in Los Angeles with three additional stations in Wilshire; opening is scheduled this Friday May 8
Metro Los Angeles has everything ready to inaugurate Section 1 of the D Line Extension, scheduled for 12:30 p.m. this Friday May 8, with train service at three new stations: Wilshire/La Brea, Wilshire/Fairfax and Wilshire/La Cienega.
Since opening in 1996, Line D has been renewed to maintain fast, frequent high-capacity service, connecting Union Station with the areas of Westlake, Koreatown, Miracle Mile and the east of Beverly Hills.
With the expansion, it will be faster to travel on the transportation service than in a vehicle; in addition, many users of the two lines that run through Wilshire—lines 20 and 720—will also be able to discover that the train may be a better option.
