North America waits for it: this is the powerful Lexus TZ 2027
The Lexus TZ 2027 debuts with three rows, up to 402 hp and an electric proposal focused on luxury, comfort and technology
Lexus decided to up the bet in the large electric SUV segment with the premiere of the new TZ 2027, a model designed for those who need family space, but don't want to gnar exclusivity nor performances. The Japanese firm will position it above the current RZ and promises a much refined experience, with premium details and a more dynamic driving.

Although it shares part of its development with the future Toyota Highlander EV, this new TZ seeks to quickly separate from its generalist “cousin.” Lexus ap’s strategy aims to attract customers who value sophisticated design, advanced technology and a level of comfort closer to that of a luxury saloon than to that of a traditional SUV.

At 5.1 meters long, the Lexus TZ comes into the large sports utility category. Its aesthetics mixes straight lines and clean surfaces, while the front adopts a r A modern interpretation of the brand's classic grille, now adapted to the visual language of electric vehicles. It also incorporates split LED optics and a robust hood inspired by the Lexus GX.
A cabin designed for comfortable travelling
Inside doors is where Lexus seems to have concentrated a large part of the work. The TZ 2027 will have a configuration of six seats distributed in three rows, seeking that each occupant has a large and comfortable space for long journeys.
The brand describes the interior environment as a “relaxing lounge”, something that is reflected in elements such as ventilated seats, electric footrests and special soundproofing work to reduce vibrations and external noises.
The technological proposal also plays a key role. The SUV incorporates a huge central touch screen accompanied by a digital instrument panel and tactile surfaces hidden elements that appear only when they are in use. Added to that are configurable ambient lighting, a panoramic roof, and a Mark Levinson audio system with 21 speakers.
More than 400 hp and all-wheel drive
Underneath the body appears a reinforced version of the TNGA platform, specifically prepared for this type of vehicle s large electric motors. The propulsion system uses two electric motors that generate 402 hp and up to 500 Nm of torque.
All that power is distributed between the four wheels through the Direct4 integral traction system, developed by Lexus to optimize stability and response in different driving conditions.
Thanks to this configuration, the TZ 2027 can accelerate from 0 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds. In addition, it incorporates dynamic rear steering, five driving modes and different levels of regenerative braking to customize the driving experience.
Autonomy and fast charging
Lexus will offer two battery options for this electric SUV. The most capable version will feature a 95.82 kWh package, enough to deliver an estimated range of up to 483 kilometers under the EPA cycle.
In other markets, the figures could be even higher. Under the Chinese CLTC cycle, some versions would reach close to 640 kilometers per charge.
Another important detail is that the model destined to North America will include NACS port, compatible with Tesla's Supercharger network. Production will be distributed between two plants. The units for the United States will come from Kentucky along with the Toyota Highlander, while the versions for Europe and Asia will be manufactured in Miyata, Japan.
