The exchange rate once again favored the peso during the day this Wednesday. While the markets continue to pay attention to the economic indicators of the United States, the Mexican currency maintains a positive streak against the US dollar, which is reflected in a slight drop in the greenback at the beginning of operations today, July 15, 2026.

At the opening of this Wednesday, July 15, the US dollar was quoted at an average of $17.42 pesos per unit in Mexico. According to data from Dow Jones, the currency registers a variation of 0.15% less compared to the previous close of $17.43 pesos, which confirms a new day of decline for the US currency.

The recent behavior of the exchange rate also shows a favorable trend for the peso. During the last seven days, the dollar accumulates a fall of 1.03%, while in comparison with the same period last year the depreciation reaches 7.44%.

Tuesday's session left an important advance for the Mexican currency. The peso appreciated 0.52% against the US dollar after the most recent data on inflation in the United States was released, information that drove a general decline in the dollar against other international currencies.
