We tested the 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland and this is what we were able to confirm
We fully tested Toyota's second 100% electric model, the 2026 bZ Woodland. It starts at $45,300, a very competitive option
We tested the new 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland, the brand's second 100% electric model, which arrives with a much more adventurous focus. Under the floor, it incorporates a 74.7 kWh battery and two electric motors that generate a combined 375 horsepower and all-wheel drive (AWD), offering a range of up to 281 miles in its base version or 260 miles when equipped with all-terrain tires.
In terms of design and dimensions, it maintains Toyota's classic "hammer nose," but is 6 inches longer and one inch taller at the rear than its predecessor, significantly improving interior and cargo space.
Highlights include its 18-inch wheels, continuous LED light bars, matte black plastic details to protect the body, and a NACS charging port that allows for a 10-80% battery charge in 30 minutes.
The interior is minimalist and functional, featuring a 14-inch center screen. The Premium version tested includes heated and ventilated synthetic leather seats, a panoramic glass roof, a nine-speaker JBL audio system, dual wireless chargers, and 60W USB-C ports in the second row, ideal for charging laptops or large devices. In terms of handling and technology, it surprises as Toyota's fastest electric vehicle, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and offering four levels of regenerative braking controlled from the steering wheel. Its biggest differentiator is its off-road capability: it offers 8.4 inches of ground clearance and the X-Mode system, which intelligently distributes traction on challenging terrain. The 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland incorporates Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 and starts at $45,300, a very competitive option given its power and capability.
