Yellow Series: the most vibrant edition of Subaru is here
Subaru presented a surprising special edition called Yellow Series for its 2026 BRZ and WRX sports cars. Only 350 units will be available per model
The sports car environment is usually marked by details that differentiate one model from the rest, and Subaru understands this perfectly. The Japanese brand has decided to give a splash of color to two of its high-performance icons: the BRZ and the WRX.

Both will receive a limited edition called the Yellow Series, scheduled for 2026, which will become a collector's item from the moment it hits the road.

The strategy is no coincidence. Subaru knows that its sports cars have built a strong fan base around the world, and in an era where electric cars are dominating the conversation, releasing exclusive and character-filled versions keeps the enthusiasm for combustion alive.
The debut at Boxerfest
The official presentation of this Yellow Series will take place at Boxerfest in New York, an event where Subaru usually pampers its most loyal community.
There, attendees will be able to see firsthand the differences compared to conventional models and understand why this edition has aspirations of becoming one of the most remembered.
The base for both models is the TS equipment, a configuration designed to maximize the sporty experience. Added to this is the incorporation of exclusive design elements, including the striking yellow hue that covers the body and interior details.
A tradition in yellow
Although the color may seem like a simple aesthetic whim, at Subaru it has history. Back in 2015, the XV Crosstrek Special Edition was presented in Sunrise Yellow, winning over the most daring.
The same thing happened in Japan with the BRZ STI Sport and the WRX STI S207, which also used this shade to make a statement.
Now, almost a decade later, the brand is once again relying on this vibrant color to convey sportiness and rarity. And it does so within strict limits:Only 350 units of the WRX and 350 of the BRZ will see the light of day.
2026 Subaru WRX Yellow Series
The WRX is one of the most recognized names in the Subaru universe, and this limited edition enhances its rebellious character.
Under the hood, the 2.4-liter turbo Boxer engine is maintained, delivering 271 horsepower along with the symmetrical all-wheel drive system, one of the brand's technological jewels. The 6-speed manual transmission ensures a more direct experience, designed for those who enjoy pure driving.
As for the chassis, the WRX Yellow Series incorporates a suspension with electronically adjustable dampers, high-performance Brembo brakes and 19-inch matte black wheels, shod with Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires.
Inside the cabin, yellow details are present in the stitching and finishes. Highlights include Recaro Performance Design seats, an 11.6-inch multimedia system, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, blending tradition with modern technology.
Subaru BRZ Yellow Series 2026
The BRZ, Subaru's purest sports coupe, also wears yellow for this edition. It maintains the 2.4-liter naturally aspirated Boxer engine, with 228 horsepower and a 6-speed manual transmission with short ratios, designed to deliver agility in every curve.
The rear-wheel drive and the tuning of the Hitachi shock absorbers optimized by STI reinforce its character as a school car for lovers of sporty driving.
As in the WRX, it is equipped with Brembo brakes and matte black alloy wheels, although in this case 18 inches, with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires.
In the interior, the yellow contrasts enhance the personality of a space dominated by black. The seats, steering wheel, gearshift, and handbrake feature high-contrast stitching, while the technology is also a highlight: an 11.6-inch central screen and a 12.3-inch digital display complete the package.
Exclusivity and Price
The Yellow Series is not only distinguished by its design, but also by its exclusivity. With only 350 units of each model, demand is expected to far exceed supply.
Although Subaru has not confirmed final prices, an increase of between $2,000 and $3,000 over the base cost of each model is anticipated. That difference will not be an obstacle for those looking for a unique sports car with collectible value.
