IIT Patna students have job offers in Samsung and Google, maximum package of Rs 82.5 lakh
On the basis of summer internship, multinational companies have given pre-placement offers to the students of IIT Patna.
In IIT Patna, the students of the batch passing out in the session 2022-23 have a lot of job offers. In terms of number of Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) in this session, the institute has witnessed a tremendous growth of 74 per cent over the 2021-2022 batch. At the same time, in the case of average pay package, there has been an increase of 16.70 percent. While students got an average offer of around Rs 24 lakh under pre-placement offer in the last session, this year the average offer has increased to Rs 28.50 lakh.
Maximum pay package Rs 82.05 lakh
On the basis of summer internship, multinational companies have given pre-placement offers to these students. The maximum pay package so far this season has been Rs 82.05 lakh. After that various multinational companies have offered BTech students a pay package of Rs 61.05 lakh and Rs 57.75 lakh respectively for software development engineer role.
61 students have got PPO from 22 companies
So far this season, 61 students have received PPOs from 22 companies for different job profiles, with Google (nine offers for SWE interns), Samsung (10 offers) and Service Now (6 offers) among the top recruiters. Twilio and Adobe are also on the list, along with four PPOs for software interns. Amazon, the world's leading company in the field of e-commerce, has also given four PPOs to the students of BTech 2023 batch of IIT Patna. There is a steady increase in pre-placement offers at IIT Patna. 17 PPOs have been received in 2020-21, 35 PPOs in 2021-22 and 61 PPOs in 2022-23.
IIT Patna students' performance is better everywhere
The IIT Patna administration says that in this changing environment, as the internship-based hiring model is increasing. The focus of the institute is specially shifting towards promotion of summer internships. This increases the chances of the students to get the PPO. It is a matter of great joy for the students that their job has been secured with these wonderful pay packages, almost a year before the completion of their B.Tech.
These companies gave PPO
Atlassian, Uber, Flipkart, Indeed, SMS Datatech, Arista Networks, American Express, Publicis Sapient, Perceptive Analytics, Accenture India, Bloomberg and Direct Eye are among the companies that have offered pre-placement offers to students. In the last session, 154 companies of repute in the country and abroad had provided 412 job offers in IIT Patna.
