WBPSC WBCS 2023 Notification Out: West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has released the official notification for West Bengal Civil Services (Executive) Examination, 2023. Eligible candidates will be able to apply for appearing in the exam from February 28 to March 21 on the official website wbpsc.gov.
The WBCS Preliminary Exam 2023 will be conducted tentatively in or around June 2023 at various centers in Kolkata and some other districts of West Bengal. On the basis of the results of the WBCS exam, recruitment to the West Bengal Civil Service (Exe.) and some other services and posts will be done.
The number of vacancies to be filled under West Bengal Civil Services Examination will be released later. The services and posts to which recruitment is made on the basis of WBCS results are divided into groups A, B, C and D with graduation courses.
Eligibility Criteria
Age-limit: Candidates age-limit should be between 21 to 36 years as on January 1, 2023. The upper age limit will be relaxed by 5 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Relaxation up to 3 years will be given for OBC and West Bengal candidates.
Educational Qualification: Must have a degree from a recognized university. Also should be able to read, write and speak Bengali.
The West Bengal Civil Services Examination consists of two parts - (1) Written Examination and (2) Personality Test. The written examination will be conducted in two successive phases, viz., (i) Preliminary Examination (Objective MCQ Type) for 200 marks and (ii) Main Examination (Both Objective MCQ Type and Conventional Type)
