Hispanic suspect in fatal shooting in Los Angeles arrested in Mexico
Christian Rojas was arrested in Guanajuato, Mexico, and extradited to the United States to face charges for an October 10, 2024 shooting.
A Hispanic suspect connected to a shooting that occurred in 2024 on the 5 Freeway in East Los Angeles, in which a 29-year-old Latino man died, was arrested in Mexico, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported.
In a statement, the CHP reported that Christian Rojas, 21, of Bellflower, who fled to Mexico after the incident related to road rage, had been identified. An arrest warrant was announced for Rojas, with bail set at $4.3 million.
Nearly two years later, the CHP announced that a joint investigation with federal marshals resulted in the arrest.
