A 35-year-old woman was arrested in Columbus, Ohio, after being accused of attempting to poison her son while he was hospitalized at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
The accused, identified as Tiffany Marie Lesueur, faces a charge of endangering a child.

The incident allegedly occurred on February 6, when the child was admitted to the medical center for injuries that, according to preliminary reports, were under investigation for suspected abuse. Authorities have not released the child's identity, age, or gender.
Medical staff alerted the police
According to reports from ABC and Fox affiliates in Ohio, a hospital worker observed Lesueur that same day using a syringe to inject an unknown substance into the child's IV port. Staff immediately notified the Columbus Police Department and decided to strictly monitor any subsequent visits from the mother.
Two days later, while reviewing security camera footage, hospital employees reportedly detected a second attempt.
The recordings show the woman entering a hospital bathroom with a sample container. Upon exiting, the container apparently contained fecal matter. According to the report, Lesueur mixed the contents with a liquid before injecting it with a syringe into the IV line connected to the child's left hand.
Hearing and Legal Measures
Lesueur appeared Tuesday before the Franklin County Magistrates' Court. The judge ordered her held on $250,000 bail.
If bail is posted, she will be prohibited from unsupervised contact with minors.
The preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 19, while the investigation into the case continues.
Authorities have not released any further details about the child's condition.
