At the scene, agents from the Security Cabinet, in coordination with the State Public Security Secretariat and the State Attorney General's Office, arrested 14 people. Two of those arrested are Guatemalan citizens, one is from Venezuela, and the rest are from the states of Jalisco and Nayarit. According to initial reports, they had only recently begun operations in Sinaloa and, at the time of their arrest, were in possession of an arsenal consisting of 13 rifles, one machine gun, 11 rifle magazines, 4 handgun magazines, and one belt containing 50 rounds of 7.62 x 51 mm ammunition. and 340 rounds of rifle ammunition.
According to a statement from the Security Cabinet, these results are part of the Mexican government's ongoing effort to guarantee security in the north of the country.
