Activists demand LAPD transparency after dog dies in Los Angeles shooting
The National Action Network of Los Angeles requested the release of body camera videos of officers involved in the Canoga Park shooting
Activists demanded that the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) release the body camera video of the officer involved in the shooting that killed the dog of a woman who was celebrating, in Canoga Park, the victory of the New York Knicks in the NBA.
In a press conference, the LA National Action Network on Tuesday urged LAPD officials to identify the officers linked to the incident that occurred Saturday night, in which the mascot, named Jameson, died.
“Jameson's tragic murder was unnecessary and unjustified,” said Los Angeles National Action Network lead organizer Najee Ali.
