Barbara de Regil does not retract her accusations against Memo del Bosque
The star of “Rosario Tijeras” remains steadfast in her testimony against the producer. This is what she said
Despite the wave of criticism she received when sharing her testimony about alleged harassment by the late producer Memo del Bosque, actress Bárbara de Regil remains steadfast in her statements and in a new interview confesses the reason why she decided to be honest about it. Here we tell you what she said!
According to the actress who stars in “Rosario Tijeras,” the recordings in which she revealed the unfortunate moment she allegedly experienced with the producer were made in November of last year, months before his death.
“This program was filmed in November, I didn’t know that he was going to go to heaven,” she declared before the cameras of various media outlets upon her arrival at the airport.
Under this same premise, she reiterated that her intention was not to damage the image of the deceased director, but rather to tell what happened and motivate those women who have also been violated to not remain silent and to speak out.
“I told my story, I didn’t know that it was wrong to tell my story, and I’m not going to back down for telling something I experienced. I understand that it may affect the family because it would affect me to find out that my husband did some things,” she is heard saying in the interview taken up by “Ventaneando.”
She also added: "I said it because I don't want my daughter to ever keep things to herself, I want her to be a woman who speaks and says this happened to me. Not just my daughter, all the women who see me, as long as it's true and you act with honesty, sincerity, and from the heart."
How did Memo del Bosque's family react to Bárbara de Regil's statements?
After what the actress said during the first episode of the reality show she stars in on Canela TV, that Del Bosque had tried to kiss her without her consent, the lawyer for the producer's family spoke about it to the media with a forceful message.
There, he indicated that it was defamation that could have strong repercussions in the legal sphere: "Let it be clear, slander, defamation, and insult have legal consequences," he sentenced.
In the same statement issued on Instagram, the jurist announced that Memo del Bosque's family is deeply upset and saddened by the accusations: "There is nothing more vile and cowardly than trying to tarnish the impeccable reputation of someone who is not there to defend themselves," he said.
