Veronica Castro Launches a Harsh Criticism Against Reality Shows: Too Much Clowning
The host lamented the type of content that is transmitted through reality shows calling them vulgar
Veronica Castro's name went viral on social media after her most recent statements about current reality shows and the content they present to the public. With her characteristic outspoken personality, she didn't hesitate to call them "clownish" and "vulgar." Here we tell you the details!
In an interview with the program "Ventaneando", the 72-year-old celebrity did not hesitate to express her discontent about the content broadcast on television, especially in reality programs such as La Casa de los Famosos.
And although she was once part of a similar project (Big Brother VIP 2, 3 and 4), for Verónica Castro today quality content is not offered to the audience, giving more weight to controversy and negativity.
"Too much clowning, too much vulgarity, too much stupidity and you don't learn anything," said Cristian Castro's mother bluntly. Although she didn't mention any specific production, she did declare herself a fan of formats like MasterChef.
Veronica Castro and her time on 'Big Brother VIP'
It was during the 2000s that the renowned presenter joined the ranks of the Big Brother VIP format, stealing the hearts of the public during four editions of said reality show: Big Brother VIP 2 (2003), Big Brother VIP 3 (2004) and Big Brother VIP 4 (2005), as well as a regular edition of the program in 2005.
The reason? The celebrity suffered a spectacular fall during the 2004 Big Brother VIP 3 finale, when she decided to enter the show riding an elephant. Due to the noise and fireworks, the animal ended up frightening and destabilizing the artist, who fell, suffering a fracture in her spine and serious cervical injuries that she has spoken about on several occasions.
"I had to relearn how to move. The pain didn't go away completely, but it did distance me from what I loved: the stage," she explained at the time.
