Arcangel celebrates 20 years of his career with a new album
The pioneer of the urban genre commemorates 20 years of his career with a new studio album that includes collaborations with Daddy Yankee and Ricky Martin
Arcangel, one of the most influential figures in the history of reggaeton and Latin trap, has once again shaken up the music industry. After two decades of success, the Puerto Rican artist celebrates his twentieth anniversary in music with the release of his eighth studio album, titled La 8va Maravilla. Days before the release, which took place this Friday, the singer revealed the album's tracklist, which includes prominent guests from the urban genre. Among the most anticipated songs is "Di Amen," a collaboration with Daddy Yankee, which promises to be an anthem for fans of the old-school genre. The album also features global superstar Ricky Martin, adding a touch of versatility to the record. Through his social media, “La Maravilla,” as his fans know him, shared a reflective message about this milestone in his career, highlighting his personal and artistic evolution. “I learned to fall without making a sound, and also to get up without announcing it. I understood that respect isn't asked for, but rather built when no one is watching,” the singer expressed, emphasizing the importance of peace of mind in this new stage. The album also includes collaborations with artists such as Sech, Kapo, Beele, and Grupo Firme, an example of Arcangel's ability to navigate between different styles, from urban to regional Mexican. Furthermore, the album has a special component due to the participation of his son, Austin San, on one of the tracks. With La 8va Maravilla, Arcangel not only celebrates his past but also consolidates his relevance as an undisputed pillar of the current urban music.
