Chiquis Rivera releases video for 'Pa' mi Gente,' a song inspired by her mother and migrants
Chiquis took us back to nostalgia by including the voice of her mother, the late Jenni Rivera, in her new music video.
Singer Chiquis Rivera, daughter of the late Jenni Rivera, paid tribute to her mother and millions of migrants with the release of 'Pa' mi Gente,' a musical theme with a great underlying message in such delicate times for our people.
“From my heart to yours, with all my gratitude to those who made this a reality,” reads the text with which Chiquis accompanied the video she published on Instagram and in which she mentioned all those who helped her in its creation.
Her new musical theme, with a duration of more than 3 minutes, begins with a touch of nostalgia and includes the voice of her mother, who died on December 9, 2012 after being the victim of a plane crash.
“My name is Jenni Rivera, born in the United States, but my parents are immigrants, they are Mexican," is heard the voice of 'La Diva de la Banda', who also says she is a single mother.
After hearing her mother's voice, Chiquis included in her video, and while singing, the story of several migrants who are an example and the support of their families outside the United States.
“This song is for my people who do not give up, nor stop, those who sustain this world, enjoy it, They dance to it, they make it a better place,” Chiquis says in one of the verses of her song, which fuses folkloric cumbia and pop.
Her video, which was released on Thursday, has already accumulated 50,000 views on YouTube, and with it, Chiquis has the mission of honoring the migrants who leave everything behind to move to the United States or anywhere in the world.
“'Pa' Mi Gente' was born from a place of love and respect for all those Latino families who, through hard work and perseverance, are building a better future, both in the United States and around the world. I wanted to create an anthem that celebrates our culture, our roots, and the strength that unites us as a community. I hope that this song inspires those who listen to it to continue fighting for their dreams with pride and passion,” Chiquis revealed during the presentation of her new song.
