Clinton asks for “immediate publication” of the Epstein files in which he appears;
Through Angel Urena, his spokesperson, he directly urged President Trump to order Attorney General Pam Bondi to fully disclose the material
Former US President Bill Clinton called for the “immediate release” of all Jeffrey Epstein case files in which he appears or is mentioned, after the Department of Justice (DOJ) released an initial batch of documents and photographs that include him, denouncing what he called a strategy of “selective leaks” designed to tarnish his image. Through a statement signed by his spokesperson, Angel Urena, Clinton directly urged President Trump to order Attorney General Pam Bondi to fully disclose the remaining material: “We urge President Trump to immediately release any document that refers to Bill Clinton, mentions him, or contains any photograph of him,” Urena stated, warning that partial release only fuels suspicion and politically motivated interpretations. The confrontation arises after the recent activation of a website by the Department of Justice (DOJ), under the leadership of Attorney General Pam Bondi, containing thousands of documents from the Epstein case.
The DOJ launched an official portal last Friday to access thousands of files related to the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, accused of running a child sex trafficking ring and who died by suicide in prison in 2019.
This release is in response to a law passed by Congress that mandates the disclosure of all unclassified information in the case, although the Attorney General's Office acknowledged delays due to the volume and complexity of the documents.
Accusations of Evidence Manipulation
Clinton's spokesperson warned that if the entire investigation is not released, it will demonstrate that the DOJ is more interested in "insinuating wrongdoing" against figures who have already been exonerated than in genuine transparency.
"Someone or something is being protected. We don't know who, what, or why. we do know this: we don't need such protection."The spokesperson asserted in a statement that has shaken the nation's political circles. Angel Urena stated that the investigation into Epstein “is not about Bill Clinton."There are two types of people here," he said. "The first group knew nothing and cut ties with Epstein before his crimes came to light. The second group continued the relationship afterwards. We are in the first group. No amount of evasion by the people in the second group will change that.” Epstein's known victims have never accused Clinton of illegal conduct. Among the released documents are at least six photographs of Clinton. Some show him with Epstein; Others show him at social gatherings with public figures like British musician Mick Jagger, without the financier present.
One image in particular, where he appears in a jacuzzi next to a person with their face censored, was widely circulated by White House officials on social media, prompting harsh criticism from the former president's circle.
Survivors and lawyers denounce chaos
The pressure on the Justice Department is not only coming from Clinton's office. A group of 18 survivors of Epstein's abuse issued their own statement calling the partial release "difficult and impossible" to navigate.
They denounced the disarray of the portal, saying it prevents victims from locating documents in their own cases and jeopardizes the privacy of those who should not be identified.
