Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid end their relationship after more than a decade together
The couple began their romance at the end of 2013 and met at a party hosted by Cox
After more than ten years as a couple, Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid decided to go their separate ways. On Saturday, June 27, People magazine confirmed that the “Friends” actress, 62, and the band Snow Patrol musician, 49, have ended their romantic relationship.
The love story between the two began at the end of 2013, when they met at a party organized by the Emmy-nominated actress herself.
About their relationship
In a 2022 interview, Cox revealed which famous friends helped her meet McDaid. The connection was immediate, and just nine months later they were engaged. However, the engagement broke off at the end of 2015. They reconciled the following year, but never got married again.
Despite the ups and downs, Cox and McDaid remained together for more than a decade. In fact, last August, the couple was seen on an unusual double date with Jennifer Aniston, Cox's co-star on Friends, and her then-boyfriend, Jim Curtis.
This separation adds to a new chapter in the actress's love life. Courteney Cox was previously married to her co-star in “Scream,” David Arquette, from 1999 to 2013. As a result of that marriage, her daughter Coco, 22, was born, who continues to be a fundamental part of the actress's life.
So far, neither Cox nor McDaid have made public statements about their breakup. However, sources close to the couple assure that both maintain a cordial and respectful relationship while they go through this new stage separately.
