Jencarlos Canela is getting married. The singer and actor surprised everyone by announcing that he proposed to his girlfriend, British tennis player Olivia Elliott.

Through his Instagram account, Jencarlos Canela shared a video of the romantic marriage proposal: at sunset with the sea in the background. “She honored me by saying yes to one of the most important questions I’ve ever asked someone,” the singer wrote. Canela also shared the emotional words he said to his girlfriend when he proposed. “My love, since you came into my life, something changed. I didn't just meet someone beautiful, I met someone who made the hardest parts of life feel easy. With you, even my storms have peace,” reads part of the actor's message. In the video, Jencarlos is seen handing Olivia a letter to read, which commemorates the official start of their relationship. In the letter, the singer indicated that living together, the challenges, and the shared joys have allowed him to deeply value having Olivia by his side and that he doesn't want to face anything in life without her. “I promise to protect your heart, listen to you even when it's difficult, laugh with you, grow with you, and never stop choosing you,” Canela's message concludes.
