Olivia Rodrigo showed that her talent goes far beyond music. The 23-year-old singer-and-songwriter took on a double role ón on “Saturday Night Live”: for the first time, she was the presenter of the program and, at the same time, the musical guest of the night.
For his first musical performance of the evening, Rodrigo received a luxury performance by Debbie Harry, the iconic vocalist of Blondie. Next act, Olivia performs or her most recent single, “Drop Dead”. This was only the second time that the artist sangs the track live, but the first in which the performance was broadcast on television.
The song is part of her long-awaited next album, titled “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love”
A surprise call Connor Storrie
Later, the night held another surprise for the audience. Connor Storrie, who hosted the late-night sketch show in February, unexpectedly returned to the stage from SNL to present Olivia's second performance. It was then when the singer decided to release a new song titled “Begged”, leaving the fans excited for what's to come.
The appearance of Storrie is no coincidence. The actor is back in New York, and rumors already suggest that he will attend the Met Gala 2026, which will be held this Monday May 4th.
Interestingly, his Heated Rivalry co-star Hudson Williams has also recently been seen in town.
If there was something that captured the audience's attention as much as the music, it was Olivia Rodrigo's opening monologue.
With her characteristic sense of humor, the artist joked about the peculiar title of her next album (“You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl So In Love”), remembered with nostalgia her time in the Disney series Ch annel “Bizaardvark”, where he shared credits with Jake Paul, and parodied his own hit “Drivers License”, transforming it into a fun version about the difficulties of getting his official ID.
