Rob Schneider and Patricia Azarcoya separate after 15 years of marriage
The Mexican producer filed the official divorce petition last December in the Maricopa County Superior Court in Phoenix, Arizona.
After nearly 16 years of being one of Hollywood's most beloved couples, Rob Schneider and Patricia Azarcoya have decided to end their marriage and move on. This week it was revealed that the Mexican producer filed for divorce from the actor amid rumors of irreconcilable differences related to the well-being of their daughters. According to a Daily Mail report, Azarcoya filed the divorce petition in Maricopa County Superior Court in Phoenix, Arizona, on December 8th. In the petition, it was stated that the marriage is “irretrievably broken and there is no possibility of reconciliation.” Because the matter involves two minor daughters, the children Schneider and Azarcoya conceived during their marriage, it has been classified as a family court case. This has resulted in the activation of several specific legal measures to protect the parties involved, including health insurance and a notification for a parenting education program. According to public documents in the court file, the preliminary court orders and notice to creditors were served on the same day the petition for dissolution of marriage was filed. For his part, actor Robert Schneider formally accepted legal services, acknowledging his understanding of the proceedings and covering the corresponding court costs. The parties involved agreed, by signing a joint stipulation, to request that the consent decree and related documentation be kept confidential. This request was approved by a court order issued on January 21, 2026, pursuant to Rule 13E of the Arizona Family Law Rules of Procedure. This determination seeks to safeguard the well-being of the minors, thus establishing a private closure of the legal process with special care for the protection of their privacy.
