Shakira on her love life: “There is no space or time in my life for that”
The Colombian star assures that her busy schedule, her successful musical career and raising her children are her only priorities at the moment.
In one of the brightest moments of her professional career, Shakira made it clear that love as a couple does not figure in her current plans.
Immersed in the resounding success of her world tour “Women No Longer Cry World Tour,” the singer from Barranquilla flatly ruled out the possibility of falling in love again in the short term.
"For now, no romance. There is no space or time in my life for that. I have a very tight schedule," the artist declared forcefully during a recent interview with the British newspaper The Times.
The interpreter of “Dai Dai”, the official theme of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, explained that she has poured all her energies into two fundamental pillars: her family and her music.
"My children are my priority. And my career. Curiously, I am in love with my career like never before. I am also enjoying my time alone," confessed the Barranquilla native.
The next few months confirm that the Barranquilla's agenda is completely saturated. After bringing together two million people in Brazil, he will conclude the North American leg of his tour this summer.
In addition, on July 19 he will co-headline the 2026 World Cup Halftime Show with Madonna and BTS, before settling in Spain to offer 12 concerts between September and October.
Regarding her turbulent separation from Gerard Piqué that occurred four years ago, the artist demonstrated maturity and assimilation of the process. Despite the pain of seeing his family's dream dissolved, he expressed his gratitude for the experiences of the past.
“I thank life for every moment, the bright and the dark, the people who have made me suffer because they have become my teachers and have taught me very valuable lessons,” he concluded.
