Shakira raises her voice after spreading false images created with AI
The Colombian singer regretted the misuse of her image with AI and assured that she is already taking the necessary measures to stop this practice.
The Colombian singer Shakira stated her position against the misuse of her image through Artificial Intelligence (AI) in a forceful message that she spread from her social networks.
Unceremoniously, the interpreter of “Dai Dai” and “Pies Descalzos” turned to her Instagram account to address a topic that has been following her for several weeks: the dissemination of photographs generated through Artificial Intelligence, without her consent and in situations that she described as false.
“In recent weeks, some images of me have been artificially generated, placing me in situations that have not occurred or with people I have not been with,” the artist began her message. “Many are used for advertising for brands with which I do not have contracts or to fuel false rumors.”
Although he said he was aware that times have changed and that technological tools are here to stay, he assured that he will not allow them to call into question his integrity or that of his loved ones.
In this sense, he reported that he has already taken action on the matter so that this situation does not repeat itself: “Currently my team is actively working to dismantle these images,” he stated.
In her message, Shakira also took the time to congratulate the fans who have taken it upon themselves to dismiss the veracity of the photographs in question, although she did not specify which ones she was referring to.
"I am relieved to know that my fans know how to recognize reality and distinguish what has been produced by artificial intelligence. I am very grateful to see how they communicate it in such an efficient way," she said in conclusion.
Although the singer avoided revealing what images they are about or what characters she has been linked to, the public did not take long to relate her speech to the montages made through an X account called @ShakiraVerse.
The postcards in question show the singer Shakira in the company of the Mexican actor Manuel García-Rulfo in compromising situations, which would have unleashed the annoyance of the singer, as well as her fans.
