According to the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), no person has lost his life after the cyclone's landfall. About 500 houses have been damaged in this storm. Due to the strong winds, 800 trees have also been uprooted. 23 people have been injured due to the storm. NDRF Director General Atul Karwal provided detailed information on the damage caused during the storm.

Atul Karwal said that two people had lost their lives even before the storm made landfall. It is very sad but after the landfall, not a single person has lost his life in it. “During this time 500 houses were damaged. Most of these were huts or houses made without concrete. Damage to concrete houses is only in single digit (less than 10). The connectivity of the phone was also maintained. 23 people were injured due to the storm after landfall. A total of 800 trees have also been uprooted.

Now the winds are blowing at a speed of 70 KM.

The NDRF director further said, “NDRF teams have also been sent to Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan as there are chances of heavy rains. This storm has now remained in the category of extremely dangerous to only dangerous. It will further decline by evening. We have been told that its effect is gradually waning. Very strong winds are blowing in Kutch and other surrounding areas. Now it is slower than 70 km per hour. It rained heavily only in Rajkot. The road is clear. Our teams are on the ground.”

It was told that there is a possibility of heavy rains in Rajasthan. Similar situation will remain here on Friday and Saturday. The landfall of the storm took place in Gujarat at 6.30 pm on Thursday. During this, winds blew at a speed of 115 to 125 kilometers per hour. The government had already shifted around one lakh people from coastal places to safer areas.
