Air quality in 'severe' category

According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), Delhi has an AQI of 431 (severe), AQI in the airport (T3) area is in the 453 (severe) category, Gurugram in the AQI of 478 (severe) and Noida. The AQI is in the 529 (severe) category.

Here air purifiers, once considered a luxury product, are now being used in homes of major cities like Delhi, Gurugram, Noida. The demand has picked up due to the fall in the price. Purifiers that cost between Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 are now available to the public for Rs 7,000 to Rs 8,000.
