In the teacher recruitment scam case in West Bengal, Tapas Mandal, a close aide of Trinamool MLA Manik Bhattacharya , has once again been summoned by the ED. Next November, he has been called to the CGO complex in Salt Lake. The ED has directed them to appear in the ED office along with the documents related to offline registration for recruitment in DLed colleges. Where he will be questioned on many issues. Significantly, in the teacher recruitment scam case, Tapas had appeared in the ED office on October 20. ED has summoned Tapas Mandal for the third time.

The ED had searched the house and office of Tapas Mandal. According to the ED, Tapas Mandal is accused of financial transactions with many institutions. Between October 2018 and April 2019, 50-50 thousand rupees were taken in the name of providing basic facilities to about 530 private colleges and educational institutions. But they were not provided any kind of service. The educational institutions where the ED had raided may also have links with this institution. The ED is probing whether there has been any financial transaction between Tapas's educational institutions and 'M/s Acure Consultancy Services'.

ED will also investigate the facts of where Rs 2 crore 64 lakh came from the account of Shaubhik Bhattacharya, son of Trinamool MLA Manik Bhattacharya. Along with this, documents related to the teacher recruitment case of more than 4000 candidates have been found from Manik Bhattacharya's house, out of which more than 2500 people have also got jobs, so these issues will also be investigated by the ED. Significantly, the ED has started investigation regarding all the facts related to Manik Bhattacharya. The ED is also ready to tighten the noose on the people close to Manik.
