The Delhi High Court has reserved order on the regular bail application of former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia in the case registered by ED in the alleged liquor scam of Delhi. Court has given interim relief to Sisodia for few hours tomorrow. Therefore, he will be able to meet his wife in police custody from 10 am to 5 pm today.

The court put a condition that Sisodia will not talk to the media during the interim bail. Won't talk to anyone except family. Will not use mobile and internet. Please tell that Sisodia had demanded interim bail of 6 weeks citing the ill health of his wife. But the ED opposed the interim bail application. The ED had said that a few days back they have withdrawn the interim bail application. Now again seeking interim bail on the same grounds. On behalf of the investigating agency, it was said that Sisodia can meet his wife in the presence of the police.

A Delhi court on Friday asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to provide copies of documents, including chargesheet and supplementary chargesheet, to AAP leader Manish Sisodia and three other accused in the excise policy case. The other three accused are Hyderabad-based chartered accountant Buchi Babu Gorantla, liquor baron Amandeep Singh Dhal and private individual Arjun Pandey.

Special Judge MK Nagpal gave the direction for Sisodia to be produced before him through video conferencing as the court had issued summons to him on May 27 after taking cognizance of a supplementary charge sheet filed by the CBI in the case. The court fixed July 6 for further proceedings in the matter. Sisodia, 51, was arrested by the CBI on February 26 in connection with alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.
